Parents and survivors of Catholoic clergy abuse are suing PA's dioceses

The lawsuit alleges the eight dioceses haven't met their obligations to report child abusers under state law.

Meanwhile, Governor Wolf is urging state lawmakers to pass bills recommended by a grand jury that investigated predator priests.
Current commonwealth law does not allow child abuse victims to sue once they turn 30.

However, one bill would offer a two-year window in which older victims could sue abusers and institutions.

Another proposal would create a commission to look into abuse within institutions.

Those institutions could be ordered to provide compensation to victims.
