The Pennsylvania State Police now has a fleet of over 1,100  gray SUVs and cars.

The new gray Ford Interceptor Utility and Sedan patrol vehicles were unveiled over the weekend. But, it will take over three-years to phase in the new gray color-scheme.

The agency says the staggered roll out will save money because patrol cars won’t be taken out of service to be repainted.

Troopers say the gray vehicles and uniforms hearken back to earlier days of the Pennsylvania State Police.
