PA politicians are turning their attention to the state budget

They're proposing two state spending plans this year.

The "first" budget covers July 1st through November 30th, while the "second" funds December 1st through June 30th of 2021.

State Senator Scott Martin says lawmakers can reexamine the numbers after seeing "where the economy goes."

The initial spending plan amounts to nearly $26 billion and would fully fund education in the state and would not raise taxes.

Governor Wolf says Pennsylvania is facing a $5 billion budget deficit.
