PA Lawmakers Look At Budget Again

A key budget-related bill in the Pennsylvania Legislature covers a slew of topics, despite a constitutional guideline that bills be limited to a single subject. The Senate is expected to take up the bill Tuesday. It guides billions of dollars for public schools and Medicaid. It also changes the way oil and gas drilling is regulated in Pennsylvania, establishes a new rural community college and allows another $10 fee on certain state court filings. Last week, the Republican-controlled House rejected a challenge by Democrats to the bill's constitutionality, 117-to-83.
