PA Governor Tom Corbett Has Until Thursday To Produce A Budget

With lawmakers' rocky spring session climbing deeper into summer, nobody knows what Governor Tom Corbett will do with the no-new-taxes budget plan sitting on his desk. He is being asked by his fellow Republicans to sign the bill they wrote and passed. Every single Democrat voted against the budget bill after advocating unsuccessfully for higher taxes on the booming natural gas industry and sales of tobacco products. Corbett has ten days from July 1st to sign the spending plan or it will automatically become law-- that means he has till Thursday.
