OnStar And Chevrolet Unveil Smartphone Application

Chevy Volt drivers will be able to use their cell phones to talk to their car. Chevy and OnStar unveiled the industry's first smartphone application this week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Onstar vice president Tony DiSalle [[ dee-SAL ]] says Volt owners will be able to manage the ownership experience remotely. DiSalle says Volt owners will also be able to remotely unlock their car as well as start the vehicle. According to DiSalle, the application is easy to use and will be ready to download when the Volt hits the market later this year.
