Oldest Boy Scout In The World Dies In Pennsylvania

  The oldest active Boy Scout in America has passed away. He lived in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. Ira Reynolds was 108 years old. He served the Boy Scouts in the Northern Tier for nine decades-- 95 years. He joined in 1914, just four years after the scouts were founded. He was the first scoutmaster of Troop 81 in Susquehanna. Reynolds passed away over the weekend and a funeral will be held for him on Thursday. The borough of Susquehanna has declared November 18th an annual memorial day in his honor.
