 The Obama administration said Tuesday it will use taxpayer cash to financially support nations that back gay rights. It's the first time any presidential administration has openly linked gay rights with human rights. On orders from President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told a conference in Geneva that "the Obama administration defends the human rights of LGBT people as part of our comprehensive human rights policy, and as a priority of our foreign policy."  She said the U.S. will use our foreign aid budget-- which is funded with taxpayer cash-- to reward countries that safeguard gay rights, and we would yank human rights aid for nations that do not stand for gay rights.
