NY Teacher's Union President Ousted

 New York's powerful statewide teacher's union has ousted its 3-term president.The union represents 600-thousand teachers. Delegate votes were taken Saturday and counted Sunday morning-- And at the end of it, Karen Magee-- The longtime head of a union in Westchester County-- ousted Richard Ianuzzi-- who has held the post for 9 years. Ianuzzi, losing support after giving a 10-thousand dollar donation to governor Andrew Cuomo's re-election campaign. Cuomo's state education department refuses to rework the common core standards. Also on Saturday-- The union's delegates unanimously backed a no confidence vote in state education commissioner John King, the man behind common core-- and called for his removal-- by the state board of Regents.
