NY Teacher Tenure Lawsuit Officially Filed

A lawsuit challenging New York's teacher tenure laws was officially filed just before the start of the July 4th holiday weekend. An education advocacy group has partnered with 11 students; arguing the state's laws are unconstitutional because they make it difficult to fire bad teachers. Dozens of states in the past decade have moved to weaken or throw out their seniority policies.
