The $2.6 million project is aimed at providing these vets a place to live in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates counties. Residents are able to get necessary services and can work toward becoming stable and active
in the community.

The sites in the plan are in Waterloo, Geneva, Newark, and Penn Yan. Together, they feature 15 units with 22 beds, and state officials say they already are serving some residents.
