Non-Profits Are Seeing More Donations

Online giving was up 35 percent last year and accounted for nearly 10 percent of all fundraising activity. According to the South Carolina based Blackbaud Corporation, which tracks non-profit philanthropic activity, said charities of all sized saw an increase in their online giving in 2010. Spokesman Steve McClaughlin said Haiti-related online giving shaked the trend for the year. More then 18-hundred charities took part in the survey, accounting for more then 5-billion dollars in charitable donations.
