No Front-Runner Yet in PA Lt. Gov Race

05.19.14 | Terry Diener

Five seasoned politicians are vying for the Democratic nomination for the high-ranking but low-profile office of Pennsylvania lieutenant governor. Voters will choose among state Sen. Mike Stack of Philadelphia, state Rep. Brandon Neuman of Washington County, former U.S. Rep. Mark Critz of Johnstown, Bradford County Commissioner Mark Smith and Harrisburg City Councilman Brad Koplinski in Tuesday's primary election. No clear front-runner has emerged, but Stack has raised the most money - over $1 million - and is airing TV ads in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and other key areas. Republican Gov. Tom Corbett and Lt. Gov. Jim Cawley are unopposed in the primary.
