New York will soon release fall K-12 education plans

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo will announce this week what his plans are for the state's 700 school districts this fall.

Cuomo says ultimately, the decision lies with how confident "mom and dad" are with their district's re-opening "playbook."

But a lot of parents are upset with the number of hoops they're being forced to jump through before a final decision is made.

Wendy Mistretta with the Parent Coordinating Council in Buffalo insists the waiting has been frustrating.

New York Senate candidate Leslie Danks-Burke expects most districts to mix both "in person" and online instruction.

She, too, is frustrated by "mixed messages" from the state.
