New York State Could Get Hydrofracking for Christmas

A decision on whether to allow horizontal hydraulic fracturing in New York State could come during the holidays. Deputy Senate Majority Leader, Thomas Libous, says the ongoing state study into the controversial drilling process will be completed before January 1st and he's hopeful that Gov. Andrew Cuomo will call for a final decision before the new year. Officials with the Cuomo Administration say such a decision probably won't happen until mid-January, at the earliest, due to a fairly new study on the potential health impact of hydrofracking.
