New York Kids May Be Able To "Practice" Voting

A new package of bills in Albany supported by good-government groups will allow New Yorkers to register to vote over the internet, computerize voter registration, and encourage teenagers to register even before they're eligible to vote.  The aim of the Voter Empowerment Act is to end New York's worsening voter turnout record. Just 36-percent of eligible voters took part in the 2010 elections.
