Governor Cuomo signed legislation this week that sets a regulatory framework for hemp production and distribution in the Empire State.

The measure requires the hemp industry to test and label their products to protect consumers from potential harm.

Governor Cuomo says the new guidelines will empower both farmers and those who purchase hemp products.

New York state will host a hemp summit next month to further develop policies and priorities related to this rapidly expanding industry.
