New York Dems Convene This Week

New York Democrats are gathering this week to formally nominate Governor Cuomo to another term. The state Democratic party will put forth candidates for Governor, Lieutenant governor, attorney general and comptroller on Wednesday and Thursday on Long Island. The Working Families party, a small but influential party that endorsed Cuomo in 2010, is split on whether to back him this year, and instead may put up their own candidate. Cuomo and his running mate will be nominated Thursday. Current Lieutenant Governor, Bob Duffy, has announced he won't seek re-election. Cuomo has yet to reveal whom he might pick to be second on the ticket.
