New PA Court Rules Speed up Kids' Cases

Pennsylvania's Supreme Court has adopted new rules designed to speed up court action on the most serious cases involving children. The changes made Tuesday are aimed at helping children involved in cases involving dependency, custody, adoption, paternity and the termination of parental rights.

Case files in those categories will be stamped "Children's Fast Track" to help ensure that appeals from county courts to the state appellate courts are processed faster. Cases involving visitation, child support and delinquency are not affected by the changes.
