New Chancellor Soon for NY Board of Regents

Regents testing in New York is something high schoolers face each year. Now the man who leads the Regents board is stepping down. Chancellor Robert Bennett is stepping down from the job, but will remain with the Regents to represent Western New York.

The Regents set education policy in the state, determine curriculum and authorize the Regents Exams and other standardized tests. The change comes as state education Commissioner Richard Mills prepares to retire by June.
