For almost 12 hours Monday people in Northumberland and Union counties were without power.

The outages impacted schools and businesses in the Lewisburg area.

One Milton man said electrical issue was a major inconvenience, especially for folks in the country.

PPL blames the power problem on old wooden utility poles.

The arm on one of those poles broke around midnight Monday morning causing the widespread outages.
