National Day of Prayer Is Today
05.05.11 |
The 60th Annual National Day of Prayer is today. Over 3-thousand government leaders and pastors joined hands over breakfast and prayed for the country this morning. In 2010, there were 40-thousand different events held nationwide-- from prayer breakfasts, to bible reading marathons, concerts of prayer, rallies, vigils, student flagpole gatherings-- and observances in sports stadiums. America is the only nation in the world that has a national day of prayer.
So how can you pray specifically?? The National Day of Prayer team is asking for your prayers in 7 areas: government, military, media, business, education, church, and family. Here are some resources to help you out. First up, a listing of all events, so you can find a prayer gathering in your area. Second up, a live stream of the prayer breakfast. The live link will only be available through 11 a.m.
