Governor Cuomo says fines will be doled out to those who disobey the "stay at home" order meant to stymie coronavirus.

He refused today to speculate how long the "social-distancing" measures will remain in effect.

The governor predicts up to 80% of New York's population could get infected with coronavirus. There are right now 15 times as many confirmed cases in the Empire State as any other state.

Cuomo has ordered hospitals to increase their capacity to treat patients by 50% and wants the federal government to order private companies to speed up production of medical supply equipment.
