Man Collects Hundreds of Jars of Peanut Butter In Western New York
12.01.11 |
A man in Western New York is collecting hundreds and hundreds of jars of peanut butter. Peter Robinson got the idea after visiting small church pantries in Lockport and Western New York-- and seeing they were always low on peanut butter. Robinson, with an arsenal of volunteers, made flyers and left bins at businesses all over the town to collect peanut butter. They pick it up, and take it to the pantries. When Robinson started last year, he had 2 dropoff points. This year, he has 97. Why peanut butter? It has protein, and kids will eat it.
The drive runs through December 3rd. If you want more information, you can contact Pete Robinson at 716-510-7108 or by emailing him at .
