The Niagara County city is the most recent winner of Governor Cuomo's downtown revitalization contest.  Lockport has been awarded $10 million to make the downtown more attractive to businesses, tourists and residents.

Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul says, while much has already been done, there are still "buildings that need sprucing up."

Now in its third year, the contest will award a total of $100 million to 10 winning communities around the state.
