L.L. Bean is the best in the country when it comes to customer service. That's the opinion of an annual National Retail Federation survey. About 86-hundred consumers were questioned about which retailer they felt delivered the best customer service, looking at all formats including store, Internet, catalog or home shopping. L.L. Bean, based in Freeport, Maine, was at the top of the list, with Overstock.com listed second, Zappos.com third and Amazon.com ranked fourth.
