Libous Denied Information Requestion in Federal Court Battle

A federal judge has rejected requests by attorneys for Sen. Thomas Libous and his son Matthew Libous for more information about the government’s cases against them.
Thomas and Matthew Libous were indicted July 1 in connection with a federal investigation lasting at least four years into allegations the senator helped his son obtain a job at a politically-connected Westchester County law firm, and convinced a lobbying firm to pay part of his son’s salary.Both have entered not guilty pleas.
