Lawmakers Continue To Work On Passing State Budget

Pennsylvania's budget is now a week late but Governor Ed Rendell is continuing to meet with legislative leaders behind closed-doors to iron out the issues. The governor and GOP lawmakers are still about one-point-five-billion dollars apart from a compromised spending plan. Rendell is proposing more than two-billion in higher taxes, that includes a three-year, 16-percent hike in personal income tax.
