Large Electric and Gas Company In NY Offers To Help Customers Buy Appliances
01.02.12 |
One of the largest gas and electric companies in New York wants its customers to be more efficent so badly-- that it's allowing them to pay for upgrading their homes out of their utility bills. Starting this May, RG&E will allow homeowners to pay for energy-efficiency improvements through on-bill financing. Basically what that means is that if you earn less then 130-thousand dollars a year, your utility company will pay for your appliances and give you a 3.5 percent loan, pay back slowly, through your utility bill. It covers things like high-efficiency gas and oil furnaces, insulation, and central aid condition. It also covers energy star appliances like refridgerators, washers and dryers, and dishwashers.
