New York Congressman Erik Massa is sponsoring legislation to address the shortage of large-animal veterinarians. The bi-partisan bill provides financial incentive for prospective vets to stick with doctoring horses and cows, instead of going for the more lucrative dog and cat market. Massa's bill offers low-interest loans to expand and establish large animal vet practices in high-need areas.
