Kodak's Retirees, Employees Watch Auction Today With Baited Breath

Let the patent auction begin. Today is the start of Rochester-based Kodak's auction for its digital patents. Two early bids for a few of the patents, backed by Google and Apple, were worth between 150 to 250 million dollars. The company hopes to get 2.5 billion dollars total out of the auction. Kodak has 11-hundred patents and needs to sell the money to pull out of bankruptcy.
