Kathleen Kane is no longer attorney general of Pennsylvania

She officially stepped down yesterday after her conviction on nine charges earlier this week.

She spoke to the press for the first time yesterday. She said, "It's bittersweet.  I loved my job.  I'm proud of the work we have done. But at the same time, it's time for me to focus on other things, and it's time for Pennsylvanians to continue to move forward."
About an hour after she talked to the press, her successor, Bruce Castor did as well.

Kane was the first woman elected to office of attorney general. She faces possible prison time. Her term would have ended in January.
