Jail.. Or Church?

A judge in the Alabama town of Bay Minette is offering defendants the opportunity of going to church instead of jail.  WKRG.com says the city judge is making the offer as a part of an initiative called "Operation Restore Our Community."  Misdemeanor offenders are asked if they would rather serve time, pay a fine, or go to church every Sunday for one year.  Defendants are allowed to pick the place of worship and must check in weekly with the pastor and police.
