Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda say the remains were found in a wooded area just off Bennett Road in Burlington Township, right near the Burlington-Towanda Township line. While State Police continue to investigate, neighbors had mixed feelings about the remains being found so close to home.“ Kind of weird that they found a body out here but… there’s always been some shifty kind of traffic back here,” said Tyrel Madigan, who lives near the remains were found. Other neighbors say that the discovery scared them a little, and others said they saw the police cars but didn’t think anything of it because Saturday was the last day of black powder hunting season. Pennsylvania State Police say they are attempting to identify the remains. If you have any information on the incident, you’re asked to call Pennsylvania State Police at 570-265-2186.
