In Pennsylvania, Governor Tom Wolf has picked a different Bruce to replace attorney general Kathleen Kane

Convicted of perjury on Tuesday, Kane resigned as attorney general Wednesday, and Bruce Castor took the job. But less then 24 hours after her resignation took effect, Governor Wolf appointed his own Bruce to take office--Bruce Beemer, Pennsylvania's inspector general.

Beemer plans to return to his inspector general position after yet another new attorney general is sworn in in January.  That would have been the end of Kane's term.
