Healthcare Coverage Could Be Cut for NY Seniors

Healthcare activists are warning New York seniors that they could see serious cutbacks in their prescription drug coverage if Governor Paterson's budget is adopted as is. Community activist Valerie Bougard says the plan will leave residents little recourse when their Part D plan doesn't cover a drug. Paterson's budget calls for 50 million dollars in cuts to the state's program, which picks up the tab when Medicare won't.
