'Heads-up' if you're travelin' around Harrisburg today

07.10.18 | Bill Price

Police will be cracking down on aggressive and distracted driving in the capital city today.

The goal of the one-day blitz is to reduce the number of crashes in Harrisburg.

State police say so far this year, they've investigated 220 crashes in the area of the Eisenhower interchange.  40 of those crashes involved a reported injury; 36 involved reported hit-and-runs.

Authorities say aggressive and distracted driving behaviors are prime factors in a majority of those crashes.
