Hawaii Upholds Traditional Marriage

A federal court has voted to uphold Hawaii's definition of marriage as between one man and one woman. The court rejected a lawsuit that sought to change the state's law defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman. The lawsuit also challenged hawaii's constitutional amendment that gives the legislature the power to maintain the definition. The Christian law firm Alliance Defending Freedom headed the defense team, and they said the ruling affirms state's rights to set their own laws reguarding homosexuality.
