Gov't Says Excessive Heat Could Continue Through The Fall

Experts at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration also are predicting the drought-plagued Midwest will get below-average rainfall. The Midwest is suffering its worst drought in a half century. Drought conditions are now being reported for more than half of the entire land area in the 50 states. NOAA officials say 170 temperature records were broken or tied in June.
