Governor Cuomo for Vice President?
07.05.11 |
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo may have shot at becoming Vice President of the United States in 2012. Cuomo has repeatedly refused to discuss heading to a higer office in recent days, but according to one news source, he might get an offer he can't refuse. Fred Dicker of the "New York Post" is reporting that one prominent Republican and one prominent Democrat both believe President Obama is going to ask Cuomo to be his running mate for Vice President in 2012. They believe Cuomo's string of successes in Albany is going to be enough for Obama to make the call. If true, Cuomo would replace current Vice President Joe Biden, who would slide over and replace Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who has said she does not want to serve a second term in office. The Cuomo administration hasn't commented on the report.
