Gov. Wolf will decide whether to accept a congressional map re-drawn by Republicans

The new map is much more compact than the old one.

Democrats say it's still too partisan, citing 2016 presidential election results.

Redistricting expert Brian Amos combined the new maps with precinct-level returns. He says vote margins between the old and new map would be just over four percentage points, yielding a similar Trump outcome.

If governor Wolf does not give the map the green light the state Supreme Court will chart its own.
