The German parliament has ok'd genetic testing on embyros. What this means is that the embyros will be looked at before they are implanted in a woman's womb, meaning she can discard them first and decide not to carry them. Right now, genetic testing is usually done after in-vitro fertilization. After an emotional debate earlier today, German lawmakers voted to allow the testing after the babies are made, but before they are implanted.
