Gas Prices Fall Dramatically; Sandy To Blame

11.05.12 |

Gas prices had their sharpest drop since 2008 last week, the latest Lundburg Survey found. The average price fell to $3.55 a gallon betwen October 19th and November 2nd. One of the big factors was the destruction from Hurricane Sandy inhibiting consumption of gas. Two major refineries were knocked offline, and a third was down temporarily. In New York, a gallon of regular gas is averaging $3-97, in Pennsylvania, it's $3-65.
