The wait for high-volume hydro-fracking may not be as long in New York state.  The New York state DEC has signaled it will extend the fracking deadline by 90 days, which buys it time to get a 3-panel out of state review done without scrapping the whole process and starting over. The original deadline to have a study wrapped up is Thursday, tomorrow. A spokesman issued a statement Tuesday saying the agency would file the necessary paperwork to delay the cutoff day until the end of February.
