For The First Time, Protestants Make Up Less Then 50-Percent Of The Faithful

There's been a major shift on the religion landscape.  Protestanism is no longer the majority religion in America.  Less than 50 percent of us identify with a Protestant group - either Evangelical or mainline.  Compare that to the 1960's, when two-thirds of Americans called themselves Protestant. A new survey from the Pew forum on religion says the number of Americans with no religious affiliation has increased from 15 to 20 percent the past 5 years.
