Hungry students will be getting some more help from the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. On Tuesday, that charity received $25,000 from Wal-Mart.
The money will go toward expanding the food bank’s ‘Backpack Program,’ which provides at-risk students with food over the weekend.
Currently, the program serves 19 school districts in the southern tier.  food bank officials hope to use the money to reach even more.
