FLN Sunday Programming Update

05.20.09 | Cecil Van Houten

Family Life Network is pleased to announce some exciting changes in our programming on Sundays. For months we've been planning ways to increase the ministry potential of our Sunday programming by adding quality teaching programs and music that is worshipful and inspiring. Those plans come together with the addition of three new programs on Sunday afternoons and evenings.

'Bill Gaither's Homecoming Radio Show' will now follow Focus on the Family's 'Weekend' program. 'Weekend' airs from 3 to 4 pm Sundays; 'Homecoming' will air from 4 to 5 pm. The show will feature a great blend of inspirational and southern gospel music, along with guest interviews and lots of humor with Bill Gaither, Mark Lowry, Phil Brower, Jeff Williams and others. If you've seen a Homecoming concert or any of their DVDs or TV shows, you have an idea of what to expect - quality music, heartwarming stories and lots of fun. We're excited to bring this quality program to FLN and hope you'll enjoy it, especially if you're a fan of The Gospel Greats with Paul Heil, heard Saturday mornings on Family Life Network.

Another important component of Family Life's mission is to provide quality Biblical teaching programs. There are many programs available but our focus has been on teaching that will inspire and challenge listeners, to take them beyond basic Bible study into more expository and apologetic teaching. That's why we're pleased to present Sunday Night In The Word on the Family Life Network and we welcome Alistair Begg and 'Truth For Life'. Begg pastors Cleveland's Parkside Church and, along with being a devoted church pastor for over 25 years, is a noted speaker and author. He teaches the Bible with clarity and relevance. 'Truth For Life' will join the FLN Sunday lineup at 7 pm.

At 7:30 pm, noted Christian speaker and apologist Ravi Zacharias will bring 'Let My People Think' to Family Life. Zacharias, president of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, based in Atlanta, focuses on presenting truth in the context of today's complex world, addressing current issues and the needs of society from an apologetic viewpoint. He is a noted international speaker and especially gifted at bringing the gospel message to a skeptical world. We hope you'll be challenged in your faith by his ministry.

Stay tuned too because there will be another addition coming Sunday, June 7, a weekly program that will focus on praise and worship music with one of the leaders in today's praise and worship music movement. In the meantime we hope you'll enjoy Bill Gaither and his friends Sunday afternoons and our Sunday Night in the Word presentations with Alistair Begg and Ravi Zacharias, here on the Family Life Network.
