First Study Shows Breastfed Boys Benefit More then Girls In School
12.20.10 |
There's some new information out on breastfed boys. Boys are statistically brainier in reading, writing, and math skills if they are nursed for at least 6 months. That's what a study of 10-year-olds found. Breastmilk did not appear to have the same effect on girls. Previous research has credited breastfeeding with boosting I.Q., but this study is the first to show the benefits of breastfeeding one sex over another. Girls are protected against obesity, eczema, and ear, chest and stomach infections if they are nursed.
