Fireworks fun foiled in PA

A state court has wiped out a key part of Pennsylvania's new fireworks law that made it easier for consumers to buy bottle rockets and other exploding devices at roadside and parking lot tent stands.

The ruling does not end fireworks sales to in-state residents, but it does make it harder to buy them.

Fireworks companies still can sell the devices at their brick-and-mortar stores.

The Commonwealth Court ruling stemmed from a lawsuit filed by two of the state’s largest pyrotechnic retail stores. In essence, lawmakers would just have to pass a new law explaining how the state will regulate tent sales.
