Federal Government To PA: How Many People Can't Vote Under New Photo ID Law?

The federal government is taking a closer look at Pennsylvania's voter i.d. law. The law requires you to have a photo i.d. for your vote to count this November. President Barack Obama's Department of Justice is asking whether Pennsylvania's law complies with federal law. Assistant U.S. Attorney General Thomas Perez wrote to Pennsylvania officials Monday to request more information. We're told he specifically asked exactly how many people will be ineligible to vote without a picture identification card.
